Poland Trip 2006

Poland Trip 2006

As our team met this morning right by the Baltic Sea, we read I Chronicles 16 together..."Ascribe to the Lord glory and strength, ascribe to the Lod the glory due his name. Bring an offering and come before him; worship the Lord in the splendor of his holiness. Tremble before him, all the earth! The world is firmly established; it cannot be moved. Let the heavens rejoice, let the earth be glad; let them say among the nations, "The Lord reigns!" Let the sea resound, and all that is in it; let the fields be jubilant, and everything in them! Then the trees of the forrest will sing. they will sing for joy before the Lord, for he comes to judge the earth. Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good; his love endures forever!"

We could hear the sea and see God's handiwork all around us! We were reminded that God wants to use us as we are. The Poles are not looking for pretense, they are looking for sincere hearts that are excited to serve them!

As our students get to know some of the Polish kids, please pray specifically for the following kids:
For Agneshka from Lodz. She has been making some poor decisions, so her parents, who are not beleivers sent her to Ustka to get to know some people who would be a good influence on her. Pray that she would see Jesus' love in us.
For many kids from Marlbourgh. They are almost all non-church kids who desperately need Jesus' touch in their lives.
For our students. They are doing an AMAZING job of getting to know the Polish kids. Hangin out with them, eating meals together and teaching each other English and Polish has been a great experience for all of them.

My prayer is that each person at the Ustka Camp, Polish and American will take the next step in their journey with Christ. Whether it's an intial commitment, a deeper journey and/or understanding our role better in God World... Thank you for your prayers!

Reading 2 Corinthians 2:14-16 today, I thought of the Poland team. It says, "Thanks be to God, who always leads us in triumphal procession in Christ and through us spreads everywhere the fragrance of the knowledge of him. For we are to God the aroma of Christ among those who are being saved and those who are perishing. To one we are the smell of death; to theother the fragrance of life. And who is equal to such a task?"

As you follow Christ, God will use you to spread the aroma of Christ, the fragrance of the knowledge of him, and the fragrance of life among your new friends in Poland. Thanks be to God!

Blessings for the day,
the Pettingas

Thank you from the bottom of my heart for prayer for me. In Ustka I spent amazing time. I met a lot of new people and (what is the most important) I met God! I started to read the Bible and talk with God. This camp changed me, and I thank for this God. I'm very happy that I met you (all Americans) and I miss you. I hope that next year everyone will arrive to Poland and we meet again :)
